Top 10 Easy Ways to Save Money

Here is a list of the Top 10 Ways to Save Money on Food & Beverages...

  1. Plan Your Meals for the Week. It is not that hard to do and you can do it every Saturday or Sunday. Go to your computer and type a meal menu for the week. You can then see what ingredients you need easily and shop for only those ingredients. You will spend way more money just going to the store and buying things randomly. Also, never shop while hungry.

  2. Instead of having lunch with a friend, invite several friends over for a Pot Luck Dinner. This will save you money during the week and you get to enjoy all your friends with little expense.

  3. Don't buy coffee from a big coffee shop. Buy a great coffee maker. This may cost a bit upfront but if you add up what you are spending at your favorite coffee shop...you will have paid for it in less than a month. Buy a great cup to carry with you and make your own. There are so many cool and wonderful flavors to purchase to make your own coffee that can also have less calories.

  4. Use coupons when you can! I know, some of you just don't want to use them but you can save so much if you are going out to eat. Many restaurants have buy one meal get 2nd half off or even better, free stuff. If you use coupons, don't let it be an open door to order more than you can eat. Use them to save money.

  5. Bring your lunch to work as much as possible. Make one day a week your splurge day and go to a nice lunch each week on that day. Plan your lunch with your meals and you will find that you save so much money and you can watch what you eat.

  6. Pet Food can be expensive so buy in bulk. It may cost more upfront but you will find it will last you so much longer and the dollar will stretch farther.

  7. Buy in bulk but make sure the price is cheaper. Sometimes you get great buys on bulk, but you have to do your homework. Don't get caught buying in bulk and not knowing if you are getting a good deal or not.

  8. If you drink alcohol with your meals, look for times when it is on sale and purchase in bulk. If you like a drink when you are at a restaurant watch for specials on drinks and special times for happy hour. Your alcoholic drink can cost as much as your meal if you don't pay attention.

  9. If you are a soda drinker, don't pay 65 cents to get one out of the machine each day. Watch for sales on packs of your favorite soda and buy them in bulk. Keep them handy so you can grab one on your way out the door each day to work. This will save you so much with doing just this one thing.

  10. Don't shop for non-food related items at a grocery store, they are always priced too high. It doesn't take that much longer to make an extra stop at a specialty store for cleaning supplies, hair products etc. You can also buy some of this online and have it shipped right to your home.

You can save so much by just preparing and being organized. Take the time to conserve and then you can splurge on something else.
